ABOUT S DHANABALAN
Prominent Singaporean politician in the 1980s and 1990s who served as Cabinet Minister in several departments.
He studied Economics at the University of Malaya before joining the Ministry of Finance as an Administrative Officer from 1960 to 1968.
He was first elected to Parliament in 1976, as a member of the People's Action Party.
His father raised him to be Hindu, though he later became a Christian.
He and Lee Kuan Yew were Singaporean politicians.
