Sadiq Khan

ABOUT SADIQ KHAN

Mayor of London since May of 2016 who previously served as Shadow Secretary of State for Justice Shadow Lord Chancellor and as a member of Parliament for Tooting. He is a member of the Labour Party.

He graduated from the University of North London with a law degree and would work as a solicitor specialising in human rights.

Other positions he has held include Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Minister of State for Transport and Minister of State for Communities.

He was born in Tooting, London, England. He has two children named Anisah and Ammarah with Saadiya Ahmed, whom he married in 1994.

He succeeded Boris Johnson for the position of Mayor of London.
