ABOUT SAM HOWELL

Collegiate quarterback who was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played at the University of North Carolina until January 2022. He was named a member of the second-team All-ACC and given the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2019.

He graduated from Sun Valley High School in Monroe, North Carolina.

He threw for over 10,000 yards in his career at North Carolina, which ranks him first in the program's history in passing yards. He has accumulated more than 120,000 followers on his sam7howell Instagram account.

He grew up living with his family in Waynesville, North Carolina. He is part Korean.

He joined Lamar Jackson as one of the Power 5 quarterbacks to throw over 300 passing yards in back-to-back games.
