She earned a master's degree in business administration of finance.

In 2014, she was featured in Muscle and Fitness magazine. She has accumulated more than 260,000 followers on her sammysep Instagram account.

She is originally from the Dominican Republic. She has shared pictures of her and her husband Donte Hubbard, and their son.

She was interviewed by Laura Stylez of Hot97 FM in early 2017.
