ABOUT SâMIA BOMFIM
Socialist politician who rose to fame as the alderwoman of Sao Paolo in 2017, and subsequently became the then-youngest member of parliament in the state capital at age 27. She was later elected a federal deputy from Sao Paolo in the 2018 election.
She graduated from the University of Sao Paolo from the faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences.
In 2018, she became one of Brazil's most prominent feminist politicians, and led the protests against the Culture of Rape.
She was originally born and raised in President Prudente, Sao Paolo, Brazil.
She received support during the election of 2016 with an endorsement from journalist Xico Sa .
