He made his World of Outlaws debut in 1978, recording 2 wins.

He was the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Winner 5 times from 1989 to 2009.

His father, Sam, and brother, Jeff, were also professional race car drivers.

He competed in the 1995 GM Goodwrench/Delco Battery 200, which was won by Mike Skinner .
