ABOUT SARA HUGHES

Beach volleyball player and athlete who has won multiple tournaments on the AVP Pro Tour and multiple gold medals on the FIVB World Tour/Pro Beach Tour. She is also known for being a defender and right-handed right-side player.

She started volleyball training at the age of eight.

She won tournaments on the Amateur Athletic Union and California Beach Volleyball Association circuits. She played volleyball with the University of Southern California 's Trojans. She stands five feet, ten inches tall. At the June 2022 World Championships in Rome, video of her playing went viral when she won a point after falling to the sand five times.

She dated Kelly Cheng. Her parents are Rory and Laura Hughes. She has an older brother named Connor and an older sister named Lauren.

She was inspired by Misty May-Treanor .
