ABOUT SATOSHI KON
Japanese film director, animator, and screenwriter best known for his critically acclaimed anime films Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, and Paprika. His work has had a notable influence on filmmakers outside of Japan.
He studied graphic design at the Musashino Art University.
Perfect Blue was named Best Asian Film at the 1997 Fantasia Film Festival.
He married Kyoko Kon in 1995. His elder brother, Tsuyoshi Kon, is a famous guitarist.
Film directors Darren Aronofsky and Guillermo del Toro have cited him as an influence.
