ABOUT SATYEN BOSE
Renowned director of both Bengali and Hindi films. He was best remembered for films like Raat Aur Din, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, and Jagriti.
He never went to film school and rose to prominence with the offbeat 1949 film Parivartan.
He won the Filmfare Best Movie Award twice for Jagriti in 1956 and Dosti in 1964.
He was married to Rubi Bose and had no children.
He directed actress Madhubala in the 1958 film Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.
