Scott Kalitta

ABOUT SCOTT KALITTA

Late drag racer who was killed while qualifying for the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in 2008. He was the Top Fuel Season Champion in 1994 and 1995.

His racing career started at the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in 1982.

At the time of his death, he was one of just fourteen drivers ever to have won titles in both the Top Fuel and Funny Car divisions.

His father is former NHRA driver Connie Kalitta.

His death led to racer Tony Schumacher helping to develop parachute technology designed to prevent similar deaths.
