ABOUT SHAAN PATEL (SHARKTANK)

Founder of the company Prep Expert and former television personality known primarily for appearing on the show Shark Tank . While on the show, he won an $250K investment from for his SAT and ACT test-prep business in January 2016. He has published over ten books on SAT & ACT prep, entrepreneurship, and self-improvement.

He attended the University of Southern California where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in biology. He later gained his Master of Business Administration before eventually receiving his Medical Degree at the University of Southern California.

He was named in INC Magazine's 30 Under 30 list for his entrepreneurial achievements.

He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Growing up, his parents owned a low budget hotel in the area.

After successfully explaining his pitch on Shark Tank, Mark Cuban decided to invest money in his business.
