ABOUT SHAWN LONG

Basketball player who dominated at Morgan City High before transferring to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2012. He was named Sun Belt Conference and LSWA Freshman of the Year during his freshman season with the Ragin Cajuns.

He was district MVP at Morgan City High, averaging more than 9 blocks per game.

He was one of only three players in the country to average a double-double during both the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.

His mother is Carolyn Long.

He was teammates with Elfrid Payton on the 2012-13 University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns.
