Shea Couleé

ABOUT SHEA COULEé

Jaren Merrell, or as they are more widely known, Shea Couleé, is a drag queen who first became known for competing on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race . They then went on to win season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.

They studied costume design at Columbia College of Art and worked at Broadway Costume before becoming a full time drag entertainer.

They wrote, directed, and produced the short film called Lipstick City about their drag persona Shea Coulee's backstory.

Their father Will passed away in January 2017. They identify as nonbinary and utilize they pronouns when not dressed in drag.

They and Charlie Hides were both competitors on the ninth season of Drag Race.
