ABOUT SIDNEY HOOK
Philosopher and noted Pragmatist who was remembered for his exploration of political theory, the philosophy of education, and ethics.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the City College of New York in 1923.
He was a celebrated philosophy professor at NYU until his retirement in 1972.
He married Ann Zinken in 1935, and they had two children.
He obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1927 where author Warren St. John also studied.
