He worked at a plastic factory while playing bass with his first band.
He helped The Cure release four top ten albums, beginning in 1979. He left in1982 but returned only a few years later in 1985.
He married his second wife, Sarah, in 1997. He has three children named Eden, Lily, Evie and Ismay.
He shared the stage with singer Robert Smith while playing with The Cure.
