ABOUT SIMON HARRIS

Taoiseach, or Prime Minister, of Ireland after Leo Varadkarr's resignation in April 2024. He was the Irish Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. Prior to becoming the Minister of Education in 2020, he was the Irish Minister for Health.

He began his political career in 2008 as an assistant to Frances Fitzgerald.

He was in office as the Minister for Health for over four years before stepping down. He is recognized for how active he is on TikTok and other social media platforms.

He was born in Greystones, Ireland to Bart and Mary Harris. He is the eldest of his parents' three children.

He met King Charles III in July 2024 and documented it on his X account.
