One of the renowned Carter twins, he and his twin sister, Rumi , are the children of international singing sensation Beyonce and rap superstar Jay Z .

His mother announced she was pregnant with him and his sister in a February 2017 Instagram photo. The photo would earn over 10 million likes in under six months.

While his sister was reportedly named for the Persian poet Rumi , he was supposedly named for one of his most famous poems.

He and his twin sister have one older sister, Blue Ivy Carter , who was born in 2012.

His father is good friends fellow rapper Sean Combs , and Combs offered advice to the new father of twins, as he has his own set of twins.
