ABOUT SISAVANG VONG
Late King of Laos who reigned from 1904 to 1959. He notably set a record in 1954 as the longest reigning king in the history of Asia.
He studied at the Ecole Nationale de la France d'Outre-Mer in Paris.
He was a lifelong supporter of French rule in Laos, and in 1945 he refused to cooperate with Lao nationalists who wanted independence.
He fathered more than 40 children by 15 different women during his time as king.
He was married to Kham-Oun I from 1904 to 1915.
