Filmmaker and director of Slovenian-language films including 2022's Beanie and 2012's Hvala za Sunderland. He also directed episodes of a wide assortment of European television series such as Primeri inspektorja Vrenka and Mame.
He acted in films including 2003's Kajmak i marmelada and a 2005 episode of the sitcom Nasa mala klinika.
He directed multiple short films including 2007's Agape, 2007's 1/2, and 2017's The Invisible Hand of Adam Smith. He is considered one of Europe's top filmmakers and has won a total of eight different awards for his work while garnering a total of ten separate nominations.
He was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
He directed five episodes of Primeri inspektorja Vrenka which starred Katarina Cas and Jurij Drevensek.
