ABOUT SOLOMON MUJURU

Zimbabwean military officer and politician who led Robert Mugabe's forces during the Rhodesian Bush War. He died of suspicious circumstances in 2011.

He implored guerrillas to accept Robert Mugabe as their leader and led them during the Rhodesian Bush War.

He became a Member of Parliament for Chikomba after his military career.

He married Joyce Mujuru , who was elected Vice-President of Zimbabwe in 2004.

He was placed under house arrest for attempting to oust Robert Mugabe .
