ABOUT SPENCER PAYSINGER

Former linebacker who won Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 as a member of the New York Giants . His life would eventually serve as the inspiration for the CW TV series All American , for which he has also served as a consulting producer.

He played college football as a linebacker for the University of Oregon . He was named a team captain during his senior season.

He had spells in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers , New York Jets and Miami Dolphins . His life story was documented on ESPN.com in October 2018.

He shares a son and daughter with his wife Blair.

He played alongside Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck for the New York Giants' Super Bowl-winning defense in 2012.
