ABOUT SPENCER SUMMERS
Conservative British politician who served in 1945 as Overseas Trade Secretary. From 1950 until 1970, he also served the Aylesbury constituency as a Member of Parliament.
From 1940-1945, he served on the British Parliament as a representative of Northampton.
He preceded Hilary Marquand as British Secretary of Overseas Trade.
His son, Shane Summers , had a career as a competitive race car driver.
He and one-time United Kingdom Deputy Prime Minister Michael Heseltine both served as Members of Parliament.
