ABOUT STAR EYES
Brooklyn-based DJ known for producing grime, heavy bass, UK funky, dubstep, and haunted house type music, who goes by the name Star Eyes. She signed with the record label Trouble & Bass and much of her music is featured on SoundCloud.
She claims she was born as a raver and has been a DJ before she was even allowed into the clubs at just 15 years old. One of her first gigs was as a resident at a drum and bass club called Ekleltic for three years.
She considers her style "haunted house," which links back to the way of old-school rave music and jungle. Her DJ name came from an old rave track called Cosmo & Dibs: Star Eyes (Remix), Moving Shadow 1993.
She was born as Vivian Host, and raised in Brooklyn, New York for the majority of her upbringing.
She is a fan of such well known artists as Notorious B.I.G. , Interpol, and David Lynch .
