The first born daughter of Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo and music producer Chris Ivery . She has been photographed with her family at premiere events.

Her parents met at an LA grocery store in 2003 and soon after began dating. They were married in 2007.

Her mother said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that Stella aspired to become an emergency room doctor after watching her mother on Grey's Anatomy.

Her younger sister, Sierra May, was born in 2014, and her younger brother, Eli, was born in 2016.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was a legal witness at her parents' wedding.
