ABOUT STEPHANIE MERCADO

Professional volleyball player whose career began when she played on the De La Salle University team Lady Spikers. In 2018 she signed with the team Petro Gazz Angels, in the Premier Volleyball League.

She started playing volleyball when she was 8 years old.

She didn't consider playing professionally until she made varsity at her high school.

Her mother is former professional athlete Lydia de Vega-Mercado, and her father is entrepreneur Paul Mercado. She has three siblings.

Risa sato and Carmela Tunay are also prominent volleyball players from the Philippines.
