ABOUT STEVE COWAN
Scottish former professional soccer player and athlete known for playing as a forward for Aberdeen FC between 1979 and 1985, for Hibernian FC from 1985-1987, and for his participation on the Irish national teams. He stands five feet, 11 inches tall.
He began playing soccer at a young age. He started his soccer career playing for St Mirren FC but was recruited to play for Aberdeen FC in 1979. He started becoming a stand-out player during the Drybrough Cup campaign in 1980.
He was the top goalscorer in Scotland in the 1985-1986 season after scoring a total of 28 goals. He pursued a career in finance after retiring from soccer and has also coached soccer. He has also worked as a match analyst for Radio Forth.
He was born in Paisley, Scotland. He was raised in East Kilbride, Scotland.
He played for Alex Ferguson , who had recruited him when he was just a teenager.
