ABOUT STEVE FRANCIS

3-time All-Star point guard known for his scoring and playmaking. He played in the NBA from 1999 to 2008 and was the league's Rookie of the Year in 2000 as a member of the Houston Rockets.

He played basketball at Montgomery Blair High School.

He was second team All-American in 1999 at the University of Maryland.

He married Shelby Francis in 2006.

He was the runner-up to flashy dunker Vince Carter in the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest.
