American entrepreneur, self-help author, and motivational speaker. He is best known for his blog, stevepavlina.com, which focuses on personal growth and development. He has also written several books on personal development, including Personal Development for Smart People: The Conscious Pursuit of Growth. He has written extensively on topics such as productivity, goal-setting, and self-discipline.

He was arrested for grand theft in Sacramento, California in January 1991 and given 60 hours of community service. He cites this as the catalyst for turning his life around.

He founded Dexterity Software, and independent computer game developer and publisher. He founded his blog in 2004 and went on to close Dexterity Software in 2006 to focus full-time on the blog.

He was born and raised in Santa Monica, California, and was the eldest of four kids.

In 2013, Lindsay Lohan got a tattoo of the "truth, love, and power" triangle from his book.
