ABOUT STEVE RACE
British composer and radio/television presenter who is best known as the chairman of the radio and television panel game My Music from 1967 to 1994.
He learned piano at the age of 5 and later attended the Royal Academy of Music where he studied composition.
He was in the Royal Air Force in 1941 when he formed a jazz/dance band quintet.
He was married twice and had a daughter from his first marriage.
Michael Berkeley is also an acclaimed British composer.
