Olympic gold medal-winning volleyball player who was briefly married to basketball executive Jeannie Buss.

He had a stellar college volleyball career with the University of Southern California that earned him a spot on the 1984 Olympic men's team.

He played volleyball in the Italian leagues in between Olympic competitions.

He married Debbe Dunning , who played Heidi on Home Improvement, after divorcing Jeannie Buss.

Both he and Kerri Walsh Jennings became well-known Olympic volleyball players.
