She had her first entertainment job as a radio DJ for London's Capital Radio.
She has also written two novels, On Dangerous Ground and Force of Nature.
Her third husband is director Ian Sharp. She has two children, Charlie Williams and Megan Macqueen, from her previous marriages.
She was often the subject of many jokes on Steve Coogan 's comedy show I'm Alan Partridge.
