ABOUT SUE BIRD

Point guard known for her long tenure with the Seattle Storm , she is one of only a few female basketball players to win an Olympic gold medal, an NCAA Championship, and a WNBA Championship.

She attended Christ The King Regional High School in Queens, New York.

She was recruited by Stanford University and Vanderbilt University , but ultimately decided to go to the University of Connecticut .

She was born to parents Herschel and Nancy Bird. She has been dating soccer player Megan Rapinoe since 2016; the two got engaged in October 2020.

She dated singer Nick Carter in 2002.
