ABOUT TAGIR ULANBEKOV

Mixed martial artist for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as a contender in the Flyweight division. He is a former titleholder of the Fight Nights Global Flyweight Championship. He's also won a world championship, a Eurasian championship, and a combat sambo European Cup along with his team SC Bazarganova.

After his uncle brought him to a wrestling event when he was a child, he immediately grew interested in wrestling. He became a member of Eagles MMA at only 8 years old. There, he trained alongside illustrious MMA fighters such as Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov .

After winning the Gorilla Fighting Flyweight Championship in May of 2019, he successfully defended his title two times against Denis Araujo in September and Denilson Matos in December of the same year.

He was inspired to become a wrestler after witnessing an event his uncle brought him to as a child. During his youth, he worked at a local bazaar with his mother.

He defeated Bruno Gustavo da Silva at UFC Fight Night, which featured Cory Sandhagen vs. Marlon Moraes , in the main card bantamweight match.
