ABOUT TARA COSTA

Known for being a fan-favorite participant during season 7 of the reality TV series The Biggest Loser in 2009. She lost over 155 pounds during her time on the show, and finished in 3rd place.

She earned her bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from New York University in 2006. She left her entry-level job in finance in September 2008 to pursue The Biggest Loser.

She competed in the 2011 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. She has been featured on the cover of the magazines Good Housekeeping and OK Magazine.

She grew up in a single-parent household with her mother being her primary caregiver.

She trained alongside Jillian Michaels during her time on The Biggest Loser in 2009.
