ABOUT TATE REEVES

Politician and member of the Republican Party known for serving as the 65th governor of Mississippi and for serving as the 32nd lieutenant governor of Mississippi from 2012 to 2020, as well as the 53rd Mississippi State Treasurer from 2004 to 2012.

He became a chartered financial analyst after graduating from college in the year 1996. He worked for several different banks before working for Trustmark National Bank. He was a financial portfolio manager until 2003 when he resigned to run for state treasurer, which kickstarted his political career.

When he was elected in 2003 to his first public office, he became the youngest state treasurer in the United States and also the first Republican to hold this office in Mississippi.

he was born and raised in Rankin County, Mississippi. He married Elee Reeves in the year 2001. They have three daughters together named Tyler, Emma, and Maddie.

He was lieutenant governor alongside Gov. Phil Bryant for two terms.
