Known best as the 2005 winner of the Miss Belgium beauty pageant title, this model also worked as a weather presenter on French and Belgian news stations.
She entered the 2005 Miss Belgium pageant after winning that year's Miss Brussels competition.
She attained fluency in a number of languages, including Portuguese, Cape Verdean-based Creole, and English.
She grew up in the Brussels, Belgium suburb of Uccle in a family of Cape Verdean heritage.
From 2011 until 2012, she was romantically involved with the Belgian pop vocalist Stromae (Paul Van Haver).
