His early production credits included the film Throwing Down, which won Best American Film at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 1995.

He appeared as a talkative john in the film The Girlfriend Experience from 2009.

His uncle was diplomat Philip Jessup. His father was employed by the U.S. State Department.

He worked as a writer and producer on The Al Franken Show.
