ABOUT TEDDY BROWN
Musician and dancer known as the eldest son of singer James Brown . He had a group called Teddy Brown and the Torches. He was killed at age 19 in a car accident near Elizabethtown, New York. He was a passenger in a car that hit a concrete bridge abutment.
His father met singer Bobby Byrd and joined Byrd's group in 1954.
He was buried at the Toccoa Cemetary in Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia.
His mother was named Velma Warren. His parents divorced in 1969.
His father met with Lyndon B. Johnson at the White House and the president cited him for being a positive role model to young people.
