Television writer and producer who created Lizzie McGuire , Less Than Perfect , Andi Mack and The Geena Davis Show starring Geena Davis . She wrote episodes of Sex and the City , Younger and The Carrie Diaries . In 2014, she co-wrote the pilot for MTV's Finding Carter and was the show's executive producer for its first season.

She was a writer for the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, the New York Daily News, Premiere, New York, and Esquire.

She wrote episodes of Doctor Doctor in 1989 and Flying Blind in 1992 and 1993. In 2009, she was the executive producer of the Lifetime series Sherri. She worked as a writer on the television series Central Park West.

She has two children. She wrote an essay titled The Mother Load, about being a working mother in the entertainment industry.

She created Andi Mack and based it on Jack Nicholson 's life story of being raised not knowing his sister was actually his mother.
