His biggest social media fan base is on Instagram where he posts lifestyle and in-studio photos for 4.1 million followers. He is of Aboriginal Australian (Kamilaroi) descent, from which his stage name "The Kid Laroi" is derived from.
He's from the Redfern and Waterloo area of Australia and is a member of the Kamilaroi tribe. He has a younger brother named Austin. In 2020, he began dating TikTok star Katarina Deme . They split in 2023. He was romantically linked to Tate McRae in early 2024 but they split up in July 2025.
