Documentarian known for producing and directing television and video documentaries like Private Dicks: Men Exposed and Loving & Cheating. He also gained a reputation as the documentary programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival.
One of his earliest credits was in 1986 directing an episode of America Undercover.
A podcast host as well as a documentarian, he has been the voice of Pure Nonfiction and WNYC's Documentary of the Week.
He married Leela Jacinto in 1999, though the two later divorced. He later remarried Raphaela Neihausen in 2008.
Both he and Steve Paikin gained fame as documentary filmmakers.
