ABOUT THOMAS CARTER
Famous during the late 1970s and early 1980s for his role as Hollywood Hayward on the CBS series The White Shadow, this screen actor later pursued a career as a film and television director and producer, winning two Emmy Awards for his directorial work on the series Equal Justice.
Early in his career, he acted in episodes of Hill Street Blues, M*A*S*H, and Good Times.
He earned a B.F.A. in Theatre from Texas State University.
He was born and raised in Austin, Texas.
He directed Robert Sean Leonard and Christian Bale in the 1993 film Swing Kids.
