ABOUT TIM WATTERS

Retired professional Canadian ice hockey defenseman and athlete who is known for playing in two Olympics and over 700 NHL games. He played professionally from the year 1981 until he retired in the year 1995, playing first for the Winnipeg Jets and then for the Los Angeles Kings.

He played for his hometown's team the Blazers for one year before he started playing for NCAA college hockey with Michigan Tech in the year 1977. He played there for three years and helped the Huskies win a NCAA championship in the year 1981.

He was recruited to play for the Winnipeg Jets in the year 1981, which started his professional career. He began a career in real estate after retiring from hockey. He has also coached youth hockey for many years. He stands 5'11" tall, and weighs about 180 pounds.

He was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

He joined the LA Kings hockey team at the same time as Wayne Gretzky .
