Mother of actor Grant Gustin . She worked as a pediatric nurse and also taught at ECPI University in Virginia Beach. Her son became famous when he starred on The CW's Arrow and The Flash .

She suggested her son take dance classes when he was about nine years old, but he was initially resistant.

In 2012, while working on the Glee set in California, her son spoke to her on the phone almost every day. He shared photos of her on social media.

She married Tom Gustin . Her son Grant and his wife LA Thoma have a daughter named Juniper Grace. She also has a daughter named Gracie, and a son named Tyler.

Her son's costars on The Flash include Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes .
