ABOUT TOBIN ESPERANCE

Bass player and primary songwriter for hard rock band Papa Roach , for whom he first served as a roadie, and went on to record the album Metamorphosis in 2009.

He was a warehouseman before joining Papa Roach ; he replaced Will James in the band.

He wrote or co-wrote most of the tracks on the band's album, Getting Away with Murder, from 2004.

His first bass was given to him when he was eight by his father; he taught himself how to play. He had a daughter, Ava, with wife Jennifer, who he married in 2002 and divorced in 2005.

His skills were greatly valued by Jacoby Shaddix , lead singer for Papa Roach .
