Soccer star and athlete who is best known for playing for the Serie A club Lazio. He also played for Hajduk Split and Girondins de Bordeaux. He also played for the Croatia national team. He said he "prefers to play for offensive" because he "wants to score."

He played for the Croatia national under-19 football team.

In the year 2018, he was not able to play in the Europa League group stage after Bordeaux forgot to include him in the squad list. He stands 6'3" tall. On the date of January 17, 2024, Bašić moved on loan to Salernitana until the end of the season.

His twin brother Jakov Bašić also played football. His parents are Dubravka and Jelenko Bašić.
