ABOUT TOMMY SHANNON
American guitarist and bass player who was a member of Stevie Ray Vaughan 's blues rock band Double Trouble.
His first band was called The Avengers, which he formed as a youth in Dumas, just north of Amarillo, Texas.
He took a long hiatus from music after Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash.
He married Kumi Shannon in 1986.
He and Johnny Winter appeared at Woodstock together.
