He created the logo for and sometimes co-presented the program Blue Peter in the 1950s.
He had a daughter and two grandchildren with his wife of over fifty years, Jean Skingle.
Gethin Jones was a presenter for the Blue Peter children's show, where Hart also sometimes appeared.
