ABOUT TONY RICHARDSON
Winner of the 1964 Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture for the film Tom Jones.
He was president of both Oxford University Dramatic Society and the Experimental Theater Club.
His last film was Blue Sky, which was released after his death and earned actress Jessica Lange an Oscar for Best Actress.
He was married to Vanessa Redgrave on April 29, 1962. They had two children together before their divorce on April 28, 1967. Their daughter Natasha became a successful actress.
He directed Robert Morse in The Loved One.
