Motorcycle racer who had an illustrious Superbike World Championship career, where he amassed 52 wins and three championships.

He made his first big start in 1997 in the Grand Prix.

Following his motorcycle career he began racing touring cars.

He married Kim Bayliss, and has three children with her.

At the time of his retirement, his 52 World Superbike wins were second to only Carl Fogarty .
